Marketing Specialist

Our client, a Commercial Real Estate Investment Development and Investment firm, is looking for a Marketing Specialist to oversee a subsidiary that focuses on helping international investors establish permanent United States residency by way of real estate investments. The position reports directly to the VP of Marketing. 

Bilingual is optional. STRONGLY preferred, but optional.

The atmosphere is professional, corporate, sophisticated. You’ll interact with executives and very affluent clients. The ideal candidate should maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Professional attire, refined verbal communication skills and excellent writing skills.

They’ll cover costs for marketing courses, marketing certifications, etc. They are looking for someone who is internally motivated to be their very best and will learn the skills needed to take on increasingly more challenging responsibilities. 


  • Writing – No exceptions, this must be one of your greatest strengths. You will social media advertisements, marketing proposals, web content, press releases, website landing page content, creative briefs, awards submissions (company applies for nomination of an industry specific award), etc. 

  • Graphic Design – We’re not looking for an Artist; just someone who knows their way around Illustrator and Photoshop and can create and edit flyers, design imagery for social media advertisements (Twitter posts, LinkedIn status updates, Facebook posts, etc.) and design landing pages (from existing templates). 

  • Marketing Administration – As the Marketing Specialist, you'll manage 1) Vendor Management: Maintain a list of vendors, their pricing, vendor contracts, renewal dates, set up new vendors, etc., 2) Invoice Management: Work with Accounting to ensure that vendor invoices are paid on time for services rendered or purchases made by Marketing, 3) Social Media Accounts: Management of, editing settings, updating profile graphics, etc. 

  • Sales Enablement – Ensure there is ample supply of sales related marketing materials, respond to requests for property specific information (office space availability, pricing, floor plans, etc.).  

  • Customer Communication  A customer may have a net worth in the millions. Most are international. When a customer or inquiry is routed to Marketing, the Marketing Specialist must be able to communicate professionally, with etiquette, class and patience (especially when English is not their first language). 

  • Email Marketing – Basic to intermediate understanding of email marketing best practices and principles. CTR (Click Through Rate), A/B testing, Conversion Rate, Bounce Rate, etc. If these terms are completely foreign, this isn’t the right job for you. There is a plethora of training, tutorials and free online courses on Email Marketing. If your hands-on email marketing experience is limited, we’d expect to see at least one Email Marketing Certification on your resume. 

  • Public Relations – PR is a large part of our client’s Marketing strategy. The ideal candidate should enjoy PR responsibilities.

  • Social Media – Manage social media accounts and the content that is promoted through them. 

STRONGLY DESIRED: Bilingual (English/Spanish). 


  • BA in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, PR, Journalism, or similar field.

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is strongly desired.

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of WordPress, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Photoshop, Illustrator.

  • Email marketing experience (campaigns, metrics, reporting).

  • Confident working with all levels of management, clients and internal teams.

  • Extreme follow-up and follow-through skills.

  • Experience managing Social Media accounts and content. 

  • Ability to work independently (steer yourself) and as a team member.

  • Interest or experience in the commercial real estate industry.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality deliverables.

  • Proactive mindset; you prepare for and anticipate undesirable outcomes and plan ahead. You look for alternative solutions to current and future challenges and take action.

  • Extremely professional communication style (this is a corporate environment) both written and verbally.
