A successful, well-established digital marketing agency in Houston, TX is looking for a COO to oversee the day to day running of the agency and strategic direction. As the highest-ranking role in the agency, the  COO will be responsible for the overall success of the agency; responsible for shaping and communicating strategy for the agency’s portfolio of clients.

General responsibilities shall include but not be limited to: generation of agency strategy; overseeing the delivery of all products and services; championing new product and service offerings; developing and evolving the agency’s operational structure to meet growth demands; meeting and exceeding internal expectations for quality of service, revenue, and profitability goals.

The ideal candidate must be able to steer the agency in the direction that is most profitable while implementing the agency’s vision, mission, and long-term goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ensure the agency continuously moves towards the fulfillment of short-term and long-term goals.
  • Monitor and measure core KPIs against primary agency goals.
  • Develop a team-based environment to motivate and inspire staff to work collaboratively toward vision and goal, by clearly communicating agency vision, implementing yearly staff development plans and mentoring.
  • Revenue and profit accountability.
  • Delivery and client satisfaction oversight.
  • Work with each departmental director to ensure the operational alignment and achievement of the agency’s financial and aggressive growth objectives.
  • Oversight of budget development; maintain a high level of fiscal responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role with P&L and operations responsibilities for a digital agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing high-performing teams (professional development and mentorship).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and compile complex data for planning purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to represent the agency externally and internally.
  • Strong relationship and persuasion skills; able to find common ground, influence, build consensus and strengthen collaboration.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the client's core business.
