Content Developer

Our client is looking for a Content Developer. The Content Developer will be responsible for researching and creating content for products, services, ad campaigns, websites, marketing materials, social media platforms, newsletters, video scripts, press releases, publications, internal communication and much more. 

The Content Developer  will play a significant role around corporate initiatives and national branding efforts through marketing. On a daily basis, the Content Developer will produce short form and long form copy for various channels ranging from social media ads to longer descriptive press releases and articles. Creative and technical writing skills are an absolute necessity.

Portfolio/Samples of content writing in various format is required. Preferred format: Online (a website you own where you display your samples) or as an attachment when you apply (PDF). Telepathically is OK too (if you can do that, we *really* want to meet you).

The Content Developer will also analyze data and research trends in order to technically and creatively summarize key selling points about the company and develop compelling messaging to their target audience through marketing strategies.

Our client needs someone who is resourceful, organized and who can self-manage as well as step in and actively participate in team and strategy meetings. 

The Content Developer will collaborate regularly with the creative and digital teams and other relevant departments, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, efficiently while keeping the lines of communication open with each stakeholder as projects move through the stages to completion.  

The Marketing Department oversees a high volume of projects which keeps everyone working near capacity as the normal. The ideal candidate should be someone who can work quickly and thrives best in environments where there is always something to do. 

The Marketing Department is always looking for new ideas and opportunities to market the company in ways that make them stand out from their competition. Our client needs someone who is great at shifting gears when called or and can adjust their tasks and priorities as projects and initiatives change and evolve.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and distribute copy for products, services, sites, social media, newsletters, articles, etc. for print & digital distribution
  • Manage the Marketing Corporate Communication calendar with the Project Manager
  • Develop a content and communication strategy to increase brand awareness nationally and locally
  • Perform market research on industry trends and becoming familiar with major competitors
  • Work closely with relative departments to gather current data on corporate performance for use in content development
  • Contribute creatively to media projects and the development of campaigns, initiatives and other marketing enterprises
  • Oversee vendor relations with PR companies and other strategic partnerships and agencies
  • Perform regular content audits and ensuring that the Company’s content inventory is current and up-to-date
  • Maintain a proper filing process and protocol for distributed content and email communication
  • Learn the basic fundamentals of the Company's CRM platform and other systems in order to assess current content deliverables

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • A 2-year degree (minimum), bachelor's degree preferred
  • Approximately 3+ years of your most recent experience should be entirely focused on content creation and ad copy writing
  • Excellent verbal, written and research skills with a high degree of professional, creative and technical writing ability
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage calendars for personal and department to ensure deadlines are adhered to
  • Experience and/or the ability to prove that you understand marketing and digital marketing fundamentals
  • Strong problem solving and creative concept skills with ability to work well in a team-based setting
  • Ability to handle many projects with competing deadlines in a steady-paced environment that shifts continuously as new demands and projects are initiated
